[Hearth.com] Chestnut Oak Ready for Shed [Hearth.com] Chestnut Oak Ready for Shed

When I c/s/s I write the date on some of the ends so I can remember, this is what I am going to top off my shed with, I have about 2 cords of this, Has set here uncovered and single stacked now I will move to the shed Labor Day weekend. This will give me about 5 cords in shed for this burn season.

Love that chestnut oak! I have about 2 cords seasoning myself. It is in my top 3 favorites as it is plentiful on my property. Split like a dream too.

Yes it does and I am working in Pa. now We are at Pleasant Gap. Nice country

Nice. :) Never burned Chestnut but it's gotta be good if it's in the White Oak group. I've got some White Oak to try myself this season, stacked about the same time as yours. I don't have a shed to put it in, though. I may slap together a little pallet shed this fall to protect the on-deck wood for a longer period; I can only fit a few weeks worth on my porch.

It sells as white oak at the mill
