Chimney clearance with eaves

Will this thru the wall kit alow me to clear the eave on the house whichs sticks out 11 inhes from the wall line?It says it comes with a 6in. horizontal piece but does not say how far the upright pipe woule be from the house.

No, 6" class A needs 12" of space to meet the clearances. You will have to offset, or move the stove. Can the chimney remain on the inside of the home?

By the way, you can check this stuff out at farm supply places and apparently home depot. It is very thin, and only air cooled, compare it to insulated class A pipe, you will see the difference.

The kit comes with a 9" thimble (horiz. piece) that is not going to give you any offset. It's designed for a 2x4 wall to give one a 2" clearance on the outside wall. If you have thicker walls, you will need a longer horiz. pipe to compensate. The offset for the eave happens just below the eave and would be made up of a 30º elbow, then an 18" connector, then another 30º elbow. That would give you an offset of 12.25". Or you could cut the eave and box it so that the pipe continues straight up.

But for sure consider running it straight up if at all possible. This is the best for keeping a clean, strong drafting flue and most of the times it costs less too.
