Looking at single wall stainless to attach to an EKO 40. No contact or close clearance to wood framing and will exit out the back of building and then up. Is there any reason to look at something more, double wall? I don't think that black stovepipe would last very long. Am I right in this as well? Or wrong again...

And I should definitely use a cap, right?

Thanks folks!

I went with the 2" insulated style. The exhaust temps I run are between 260 and 500 F and I believe one would get a lot of condensation and reduced draft with single wall. I'm still getting some condensation on very cold days with this setup.

Thanks folks.

Now, to find the best price on that... I hope.

;-)

i posted this question on here but did not get much responce. what do you use to connect the eko60 to the insulated pipe??my dealer told me reular 8inch stove pipe to make that connection. i am currently getting a steel shop to make me a transition piece that will go over the oddball 81/4 eko flue.
