I’ve been using storms that I made utilizing 4 mil flex-o-glass plastic film that doesn’t hold up all that well, getting fairly brittle within a couple years. I’m looking at clear marine vinyl but wonder what gauge is appropriate. Thanks

This is what I used on my porch. It is working out well. You gave me an idea to make storm windows for my small basement windows as they get leaves and snow blowing up into them and just gives me one more thing to clean.

Yes, mine seems OK, and I'm sure a good marine type would be better. I got mine at Princess Auto on clearance. Now they don't seem to sell it. My porch windows are huge and the delivery guy sometime leans long boxes on it for some reason. You can get any thickness you want, but you will pay more and it might distort more.
