I recently installed a majestic wood burning fireplace and have noticed a large amount of cold air entering through the bottom grill. The damper and cold air intake are closed. I also keep the doors closed when not in use. There is enough cold air entering to make the room cold. Is this normal or is there a problem with the installation or unit?

Chances are the chimney chase was not properly insulated or missing some or not at all
