Convection Blower is going in reverse?

Nice job Jay! And glad it got fixed so he has some heat. My question is, how the heck did the motor get that way in the first place??? The OP said it's the original motor.
 
Maybe he bought the stove used and the original owner had it apart and re-assembled incorrectly. Or maybe it was built and tested at the factory on a Friday after the employees had liquid lunches???
