A change of pace ....

It seems to be harder to find a used CSA used wood fireplace insert than a wood stove in my area. I was looking at Drolet Adirondack stove. Can it, or something elses, be modified to sit lower in the firebox of a large fireplace? The height is the challenge.

Cheers

Check the labels on the back of stoves you look at, I have been involved in installing 1 Lopi and 2 Avalons and all 3 could be used for either an insert or a freestanding with legs. I'm sure other brands can be as well.
