I posted this in the Hearth Room and realized it would be better off here.
New member here. Just looking at my outside thermometer and it says -37*C. All the more reason to install my just purchased-used Whitfield Advantage II-T (1991).
It is an insert style and my mobile home has no existing fireplace. So far I plan a simple horizontal exhaust/fresh air connection. Will I need to acquire a stand for this unit or should I just set it on the floor pad? I have the three front panels/control panel(analog) with it and would probably build some sort of enclosure over time. Any ideas appreciated. Russ

Well it's installed and working! Sure is nice to have extra heat in the living room. Any idea where to find the side panels that belong on the pedestal style stove? What is the best fire starter to use? I just used a propane torch for the initial start up because I had no "fire starter".

alot of people use the propane torch to lite there stoves.
My P38 doesnt work well with it so I just use regular alcohol...not recommended by Harman
