I've been using those blenders at the coffeeshop for smoothies: feeding them a steady diet of juice, yogurt, ice cubes and frozen fruit. A couple of them have gone belly-up with heavy-usage, so I'm not sure how many rake handles they are rated for. The commercial Blend-tec EZ-blenders go for about $400.
