Anyone heard of these? I just bought a Classic Bay 1200i and these are the brand the dealer carries @ $225/ton. The price is better than Lowe's/Wally World, but I haven't been able to find any reviews on them. They are a "low-ash, premium hardwood" according to the bag, and I didn't see a "manufactured by X" anywhere.

Used the search box and found these 2 links for you..... seem pretty good, low ash, high heat.... from a hardwood flooring place I think. .. .... no guarantee but I would think that not much chance for 'bark' being in the product if from a flooring place.... maybe I'm wrong..... somerset is another good one ........ good luck pellet hunting....... cc :cheese:

Thanks! I tried the search box, and must of messed it up (Darn Newbies!) I kept getting a message that i was only allowed one search ever 15 seconds...

I used them either 2 or 3 years ago. I Still have 8 bags legt but they are on the bottom of all of my Rocky Mountains and Somersets.

I was pleased with how they burned, little amount of fines and small amount of ash given off.

I have burned them for three or four years now. They are manufactured in Gabriel, KY. The mill is located near a wood floor manufacture.

I've never had any problems with the pellets, they burn great. 100% oak.

On the other hand, the bags sucks! I've had several instances where the bags split and then I have a big mess to deal with.

I burned 2 1/2 tons last year my first year burning pellets and thought they were a really good pellet. Only complaint I had was it left big carbon deposits in my burn pot and they were hard to scrape out everyday. Heat was on the high end of good and ash I thought was a little higher then average but not terrible. They are a nice uniform sized pellet not too big or small. I would say they are dusty, my wife complained everytime I poured them in the stove. I would of went with them this year but the local dealer wanted $330 per ton without delivery so I thought that was way to high..your price is excellent so I would go with them..

I burned them last year as well. It was my first year and it was the only pellet I had access to. They seemed good to me. Not alot of ash. My local dealer is probably the same as yours. 330.00 without delivery was robbery. I am burning AWF pellets right now.
