The glass cracked on my Regency F2400 and I am taking the door in tomorrow morning. Problem is, they need 24 hrs to get it back to me. Our overnight lows will be about -1C (30F). So I mulled running the stove with the door off and a screen or some other way to block the sparks. Anyone have any other suggestions?. I only have a 500 watt baseboard heater and have not run that in about fifteen years, and It's under the north window, so I don't know how effective it would be. And I'm cheap. My other option is to run a 3800 catalytic propane heater I have for camping. I'm heating about 1000sq feet. I know deep down I should just run that and a 1500 watt ceramic and get over my self, but I am feeling a bit McGiver now
So my preferred solution is to run the stove with some spark screen.
