Creosote Dots

I have these dots of creosote on the glass of my new wood insert. Any tips for getting them off? I’ve used a commercial wood stove glass cleaner as well as scrubbed with ashes.

Or does a hot fire not get rid of them?

Hot fire was not getting rid of them. I’ll give the razor blade a go.

They stood absolutely no chance against the razor blade. Thanks for the tip.

This is better than any commercial wood stove cleaner I used. Its inexpensive, I paid $5 for two bottles on Amazon last year.
