Just wondering how good they really are. A friend of mine is moving and has 2 tons . Is it worth is to carry up a flight of stairs then load them in my truck to drive 30 miles to then unload at my house.

I hear they burn super hot. Almost to hot for CT .

I paid $270 a ton. Burning them now.

I bought about a half ton of them last year and I was NOT impressed with them at all. POOR heat VERY dirty LOADS of ash
MADE dog turd ash clumps In the burn pot that stopped the air flow after burning for 2 hours on high. .Had to clean the stove every day.
Switched over to another brand of pellets(Okies) and the stove ran hot and clean.Ended up mixing them 75%to 25% to get rid of them.
ABSOLUTE junk. Would not and do not recommend them.

I have burned them for 7 seasons now, last years were weak and not great but this years are near perfect! Even the wife notices the difference this year so that tells you something

They sucked big time last year.I will never buy again.But if they were free I would still be reluctant to put them in my stove.If i was paid to burn them then maybe.I know I'm bitter but i paid a lot of money for those damn things.

Be careful if they are from last year....free isn't always free.....

That's what I hear. From what I heard they were the best a few years back especially when the housing market was booming. They are made from the scraps at a hardwood floor company.

Not sure what happened last year but several people said they sucked.

Just might stick with my hamers.

On a different note what's a good softwood availabile in CT

Seems like a good reason to drink a few beers.....not that we need a reason....but why not have your friend bring a few test bags over and reward him with a few cold ones while you test them out......as said main times on here.....every stove is different and so you need to try them first.

Your Harman will eat anything or that's what I taught too. I'm not impressed with them this year also, lot's of ash and less heat than others. Using them up now before the cold snap comes like shoulder pellets. I lost faith in them after a second round of trying them. Only bought one skid this year compared to four last year. I did buy a skid of Comforts so will see if they are better. Mix with softwoods could give better results, good luck.

Free is free I'd grab them So if you don't like them give them away or mix them with something
I like cubex never had any trouble with them.Burnt 4.5 ton last year got 4 ton this year best pellet
for my money around here

tried a few bags not as good as the hamers. . Even for free not worth lugging them up a flight of stairs to then drive 30 mins to then unload at my place.ill let the new owners deal with them
