I just came across this:

(broken link removed to http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/zip/3785376748.html)

Yep, 25 to 30 truckloads free rounds! The bad news is that I am a few miles across the county line and there is an EAB quarantine that won't allow moving firewood across it

I don't understand why they would give away that much wood for free when they could easily sell it, I'd think

In NY we are allowed to move firewood anywhere within a 50 mile radius. Nothing about county lines. You might want to check your regs again just to make sure. That's a helluva find to have to pass up on if you don't have to! Good luck!

I would have to break some rules for a score like that.

Post was deleted so I didn't see it.

As for the regulations, some states will say 50 miles but when our quarantine was in effect it went by county line.

Yeah here in MN there's a quarantine for certain counties. You can't move hardwood firewood out of a county with a quarantine. Yeah it looks like it's gone now, but basically it said they had 25 to 30 truckloads of free firewood, already cut to 18 inch rounds, just swing by and pick them up. Would have been awesome!!

I wasn't able to see the ad but I wouldn't have a problem renting a uhaul 26 foot truck to take advantage of a score like that!

You might want to brush up on those regs.
