I have a Defiance wood stove and I am not sure of the date it was released. All the information for this stove or its brother is listed on this forum. I have read the documentation and have not run across options for the moveable plate inside the firebox. As you can see as it sits, it is about 4" from the back of the box which is the exit for the flue. If i were to move the plate backwards, it would divert the smoke into the upper chamber then exit near the rear. Any help would be great. I do not have a manual on this unit.
