We moved into our home 3 years ago. The home has a Kozy Heat Minnetonka fireplace. I am not skilled in these appliances and only know what the prior owner said. Last winter it stopped working completely. Though flint still sparked but no flame. Paid $200 to have a service guy come from far away to look at it and said “I won’t touch it- ive never seen a hookup like that - no idea what’s wrong but could be regulator or gauge.” Now I’m trying to get plumber in before this winter to try to replace the gas hookup. The plumber said I should order the parts from the manufacturer before hand so he can just install them. There are no manufacturer regulators or gauges for this fireplace, and the existing one which presumably failed is no longer sold anywhere. I’m stumped and would love to hear from someone who might be able to assist with some advice or at least what parts I should buy. It’s getting cold! There don’t seem to be plumbers around here that specialize in this unfortunately. Thanks in advance.
