I just bought one form Nt, anyone ever use one? It was $4 so I couldn't refuse it, but it looks mighty fine.
 
While I've not used one it sounds interesting to me.

Can you offer any comparison in time saved, or any other advantages you've found so far?

Ive used the diamond knife sharpeners that look like a plastic stick about 1 inch by 6 inches with about 4 inches of diamond grit enbedded. Fine and coarse, each about $5. Cant recall the brand but made in usa, bought at Mills Fleet Farm farm store. Works well with water lube for fine precision edge, but quite slow.

Be interested to see how the file works.
