This is my solution to installing a hydronic heat exchanger in soft ductwork.
This is a pair of 16" round to 16x18" rectangle duct transitions, a metal wall stud from the orange hardware store, some rivets, silicone caulk, and hanger strap. Mix with a few hours of your time and BOOM - duct exchanger!
Hopefully this will help someone else with their hydronic heat exchanger installation.

Impressive work. Do you have any shut off valves near the HX? My HX is in my basement (lowest point) and I put some in front of my HX in case I needed to ever swap it out.

Are you heating the water with a boiler or something else?

I have valves at the water stove. I put in a bigger HX when I took the pictures . I lost about a gallon when I removed the original HX - but I caught it with a cut-down 5 gallon bucket.
