Do i need to seal biovent pipe?

I think i read somewhere you dont need to silicone seal new biovent pipe because od the rubber seal.

I still plan on sealing it but if it doesnt really need it i will use it sparingly for ease of taking it apart for cleaning

According to the manufacturer, you do not have to silicone the joints, so why make a mess doing so?
