I am finding that the baffle in my Hearthstone is more of a pain to remove and install than I remember when it was new. Does this material change with use? It almost seems like it's expanded some. Could also be the stove has some build up and its making it a tighter fit.

It definitely changes. My baffle boards are now both hunched up like bananas so they are lifted up above the middle two air tubes by nearly 1/4”. Creosote also definitely forms between the baffle and the stove on the edges and I need to scrape it out to get the best seal.
