I am new to burning firewood and I just cleaned my stove pipe with a SootEater. Since my Lopi Endeavor has a bypass damper I can shine a light at the bottom to get a good view from the top. About a half cup of thin black flakes fell to the bottom of the stove from the cleaning. Is this how my pipe is supposed to look after a cleaning? [Hearth.com] Does my pipe look clean (photo)?

Geez dude, put a coat of wax on that and you could return it to the store as new/unused...nice!

That is very, very clean!! Good job!
From reading on this form, I tried to make sure I always burned hot around 600 -700F. And then the SootEater made the cleaning easier.

Looks great! The Sooteater really does a good job.

I'm due to brush my two flues here soon and my brush is looking like an inferior tool.
