just curios, what is the average life expectancy of a door gasket. mine is on its third year and wondering if I should be looking to change it soon.

TIA

if you do the dollar bill test, and it fails but the gasket looks good, look in the manual, there is an extra washers in where the door latches.you can remove 2 and your door will close tighter.

Generally speaking, your door gasket will be OK as long as:
It seals tightly - the "Dollar Bill" test...
It is still firmly glued/adhered to the stove &
It is still pliable & will compress when you push on it.
Once it hardens up, it loses most of it's sealing capacity, &
even door adjustments may not get it to seal...
