Door gaskets rubbing loose on Jotul Combifire #6

Hi, any of you have a Jotul Combifire #6? What make and diameter of door gasket are you using? We have one whose door gaskets keep rubbing loose from friction with the splines of the stove body (the doors slide on tracks, in case you're not familiar with this style of stove). We are at wits end after trying many different diameters of rope & a variety of gluing techniques, and always having it come loose in the tight spots particularly near the top back. I do not know what size gasket you need,That should be in your owners manual.But for gold plated doors I use RTV silicon (the red stuff). Gasket cement works only on cast surfaces and even then can come loose.
