Door sealing Gasket for Fisher fireplace insert

I have a 1982 Fisher fireplace insert with glass windows. I can find no owners manual and I think I need to replace the door sealing gasket and the 2 glass window gaskets. What type and size of gasket do I need and where do I get them. I have read that some Fisher wood stove or inserts did not have door gaskets but I think mine does. Can you verify

Glass door models do use gasket material. Solid cast iron doors do not. This holds true for any Fisher models.

Do you have some to match up? Most hardware stores sell it by the foot off rolls. It's available in many sizes flat or round. Flat is mainly for glass installation in door. If you don't have any to match up, measure width of channel it fits in for proper size. Rutland Gasket Cement is used to attach and cures with heat.

The III Model has gasket on stove;


IV Model has gasket on door;
The III door glass opening is horizontal across top. The IV glass opening is slanted across top.

Thanks. I definitely have a Type 3. In looking at the picture., it looks as if the stove door seals use a flat gasket. Is that correct?. I got a little piece of a 5/8 in flat gasket and it fit nicely in the back of the stove channel and seems to seal against the back of the doors cast wedge ring, however it did not fill in the small space on the top and bottom of the door cast ring and the stove channel, as the ring is wedge shaped and the channel is U shaped. Is that a problem or should I be using a rope type gasket?

PS. It has been a bear finding 1/2 in sealing tape for the window glass but it look like the Whitfield pellet stove gasket may work.

Flat is fine as long as it makes even contact. The cement behind it makes it thicker, so when you set the gasket in a bed of cement, close and latch the doors to squeeze any excess out. Open doors and clean off excess before firing.
Can you wrap the self adhesive type (13/16) around the edge of glass to protect edge and back side from clamp?
