We have a double sided sealed ventless gas fireplace between a small sunroom and the larger living room. While the fire is on, even on the lowest setting, the sunroom is too hot when the living room is too cool or just right. Is there a screen that could be placed in front of the fireplace in the sunroom to block the heat, preferably a glass screen so the fire can still be seen from the sunroom?

Thanks!

Hi Bob,

Checking in to see if you have any thoughts on what can be done to address the situation I have with a two-sided gas fireplace between a small sunroom and a larger living room. While the fire is on, even on the lowest setting, the sunroom is too hot while the living room is too cool or just right. It's a direct vent gas fireplace, specifically a Fireplace Xtraordinair 4415 See-thru High Output Deluxe Fireplace.

Is there a screen that could be placed in front of the fireplace in the sunroom to block the heat, preferably a glass screen so the fire can still be seen from the sunroom? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Barb

I would try to blow the heat over, instead of trying to block it. Corner doorway fan at the least, or fan mounted in your wall.

Trying to block the Heat on one side of the fireplace, definitely won't be good on the glass, and may create unsafe conditions due to extreme heat buildup.
