drafting problem

[Wood chopper]

Hello .I have a jotul F 500 Going on third year .Burned great until this year .Chimney is spotless, pipes clean , just installed the upgrade for the draft in the front. wood
burns great with the door cracked and vent open but dies down slowly when you close the door .Any Ideas ?

Check the insulation blanket to be sure it's laying flat and is not bunched up and blocking the flue. If that is ok, check the chimney cap screen. If both are ok, have you switched wood supply recently? Poorly seasoned wood will have this behavior.
