I bought a buck 74 with a duraflex liner and the dealer said not to worry about insulating. However I'm seeing that it says it's required. It is a 6" goin in a larger square tile flue so I have room if it is required or recommended ill do it I'm installing it later today so any help is appreciated

It should be insulated and if you don't have the required clearance from the outside of the masonry chimney to any combustible materials it needs to be insulated to meet code. It will preform much better and have less buildup if it is insulated

Line that stack all the way up to the top, with insulation, and never look back.
