Question:
I've had an Energy Harvester for about 20 years now. I bought it at a fair in Mass.. I've always been very happy with it. It's a small "Swedish Box" type stove, and it's both very attractive and very functional. But now I've got a couple of problems. First, one of the hinge pins on the door has broken off. Is there any way to obtain a replacement door? Second, I now may need a second stove. Is it still possible to buy Energy Harvesters? If not, what's a good equivilent?
Answer:
It could be difficult, if not impossible to attain a replacement cast iron door. That company went out of business over 20 years ago. If anyone would have it, it might be Woodman Associates at https://www.hearth.com/partsplace.html
You cannot buy this exact stove. However, take a look at the Jotul cast iron stoves at https://www.hearth.com/jotul - These are updated versions of this type of cast iron stove.
