Hello everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know that you are now able to purchase the 30-NCH for $649 and can have it shipped to your local Home Depot store for free. I just ordered mine through the HD customer service number (1-800-466-3337). I discovered that at several stores near the Durango, CO area had them at a retail price of $649. When I spoke with customer service I explained to them that the Stove was $649 retail and my local store was $899 and when I added it to the cart the price changed back to $899. Long story short the Customer Service Rep was extremely helpful and didn't try to give an excuse as to why the price is different. All said and done, I ordered my stove an hour ago and paid $649 + my local tax which came out to $697 shipped to my local store which is ten minutes away. They can ship from the store to your home for another $100 but we are all trying to get the best deal on this stove from what I have been reading all winter.

The HD stores that had the stoves in stock were 1534, 3508, 1537.

Good luck to everyone.

Also take a screen shot of the stove priced at $649 just in case they remove the discounted price.

I love seeing the 30-nc and Drolet sale price posts. It's become the first sign that Spring is just around the corner!;)

Im in the fight for mu life right now. Currently on hold for the second time with customer service. They will not honor the price and ship to my store for free. So basically they want full price to go to store. So i told the lady that the company wants 250 bucks to ship to my store or 99 bucks to ship to my house. How does that make sense? Stay tuned for updates.

Sorry to hear that. I am surprised they won't honor the price. Did you speak with a supervisor?

Yes, multiple times. This started with me printing the page from the Durango store, and taking it down to my local HD. There the Cust Serv lady told me it would be no problem. I would just have to order the stove at full price and then she would call it in to get the reduce retail price. So I thought it was a done deal. She calls me about 30 min later and says they are unable to give me the discounted price due to it being a local store price, so I cancelled the order.

After returning home I see this thread with the listed Cust Serv number and promptly called, you can see the results above. Basically what they told me each time was they cannot price match other HD store prices. If I could find the stove at any other retailer for that price regardless of it's location they would price match, but they will not price match their own retail price. It is truly mind boggling to me.

Now to be fair I can order the stove, from the Durango store and have it shipped to my house for the 99 bucks but now I have to wait for the original order to be cancelled, so that the money is back in my account before I can re-order the stove. Plus its the principal of the matter. Why does it cost 99 bucks to ship to my house but 250 bucks to ship to my store? I just don't get it.

Well it sounds like you have been run through the ringer but it seems like you are still getting the stove and saving $150. What a pain in the butt to save $150 but you will have the stove forever.

Did you try using a Lowe's Mover's coupon? Home Depot honors them, they can be used online, not just in store. An extra 10% might help. These coupon codes are one time use at Lowes, but HD still takes them as they have no way to verify they have been used or not. They are a series of 15 numbers (no letters or words in the string, numbers only). Here is an example 47002-26481-45884. This is a random number not necessarily an actual code. Hint Drop the -dashes-.

Call the HD customer service number tell them you have a Lowe's Movers Coupon for 10% off, they will match the competitor discount. Home depot has a movers program but I am not sure about the discount. Last I checked it is not 10% off. So matching Lowe's 10% off is your best bet.

Hope this helps.

thanks woodsman I almost went to my local home depot over the weekend. (the old man was out of town or I would have picked it up with his truck sunday and paid full price). but after seeing your post late sunday night. I just bought it online, bit the bullet on the shipping, and had it shipped to my house. hell I still saved 150 (actually a little more cause I was taxed on 650 not 900). 1534 still shows 3 in stock.

I just grabbed one of the 3 from store 1534. Total to ship to Wisconsin was only $99, that made my stove come to $785 with sales tax. I am excited to try this stove after reading so many positive reviews on here. I had a Home Depot movers coupon for 10% off and it did not work online, kind of sucks but we have many things we need to buy in the store anyway. So the big question...does the stove ship with the tee shirt???

Not a bad deal at all. Wonder if I get a tee shirt for buying a used one and refurbishing it????????

My 30-NCH arrived today and I am quite impressed. Firebox is nice and large compared to my old 1450. Can't wait to burn in this but that will likely be a few months. Not looking forward to getting this down in the new basement...any tips for this endeavor?

They really aren't too bad to move if you remove door and bricks and have two people with strong backs. I moved mine into the basement myself(wife watched mostly).

well my hearth is done I so wanna get this bad boy into it and see how it looks. but then it will be in the way when I punch the hole in the ceiling and frame out the support box.

The 1534 store is still advertising the sale price as of 07/25/2015
Also I purchased one at the sale price plus $90.00 shipping at the beginning of April 2015

Just did the same on Friday to add a second stove to our house. That's about the best deal around, aside from NYS tax!
