Hello...
I got my hands on this nice Pellet stove from 2004 and was going to restore it since it has some love needed
While testing all functions, i noticed, that the Room and Exhaust fan always run...
As soon i plug power in, they start, and no matter what i do, they stay running until i disconnect the Stove...
I did the F5 rest and checked for settings where i could...
I even tried to check the BTS12 600BW Triacs...but not sure if that was so successful
Does anyone know what else i could check?
Igniter seems to work normal and the Augers do also work...
So worst case i could run it like this, but i would prefer a machine that does stop and start on command...smile

Thx for any thoughts...

Hello Darkwing.

How long have you left the unit plugged in and let the fans run? I ask because in my Quadrafire Contour when it is first plugged the exhaust fan runs for about 15 minutes before it shuts off. Then it runs as expected, (the fan only kicks on when the thermostat is calling for heat). This is because if there was a power outage the exhaust blower runs to get rid of any smoke from the firebox that would have accumulated.

I am not sure why the room fan is always running but maybe it is for a similar reason. I would try to let them both run for about 15-20 minutes and see if they stop on their own if you have not done so already.

Hello...
I had similar thoughts, but after an hour i gave up and turned it off...
I even send it through Shut down circle...
But so far no luck...

Any idea how to test the components on such a board for function?
Like the Triacs BTA12 600BW for example...they are the switches to turn the stuff on or off...do they go bad?
Or the opto MOC3021 in front of them...
Please help...dont want to end up coughing 300 bucks up for a new controller board
