Weather in Georgia got cold enough for our first fire of the season. Hope everyone else is keeping warm!(broken image removed)

I have had one most of the day in Greenville SC. I can't get over how much heat these new stoves put out and how little wood they use.

It's supposed to get in the low 30s I believe. Not to worry though-supposed to be back in the mid 70s in the next couple of days. Good 'ol Georgia weather

I have 20 inches of snow coming tomorrow. I'll switch weather with you for 1 week. I love my winters...in WINTER. People's pumpkins are going to be buried.

Woke up to a dusting of snow and a cold stove. Still learning on when to load for an over night burn. With this cold weather It has been the first time actually had to worry about a reload rather than a fire just to break the chill in the house.

It's been more than 20 below normal here the last couple days, and I've been loading the Dw and MIL's Buck 91 every 12 hrs.

Still learning on when to load for an over night burn. With this cold weather It has been the first time actually had to worry about a reload rather than a fire just to break the chill in the house.

I don't know what kind of wood you're burning, but the mighty Buck can go 12 hrs pretty easily for me even on a load of Black Cherry. Now that I've replaced all the gaskets and am able to cut the air further, I'm interested to see what it will do on loads of White Oak and Pignut Hickory. I may have to not fill the box full, just so I can load on a 12-hr schedule with enough room in the box for the next load. BTW Jasper, feel free to post or PM me with any questions you may have about the Buck. It's an awesome, high-quality stove and will serve you well.

At my deer camp now , 29f and about an inch of snow on the ground. Woodstove is pumping out some heat, cabin should be up to 70f in another hr. custom made , no secondary air , just pure grunt..........................

Thanks woody I need all the help I can get. I got a 7 hour burn on a load of sweetgum on a hot coal bed. I am saving the oak for when winter really shows up.

Neat looking heater. Any idea who made it? Looks like it could be a commercial product.

In PA,today it didn't get above 39 and big winds. I'm on top of a mountain, no leaves left on all.my oaks. Fire has been running on and off all weekend.
