Hello world, I am new here and seeking guidance.
I am tired of having to manually light the pellet stove and would like the igniter to work as intended, it does not turn orange or seem to heat up at all. I've done some research on parts and purchased an igniter off of amazon, the 50-1067 model number. I started to pull apart the pellet stove to get to the back of where the igniter sits. after moving the blower out of the way i was able to get the t20 screws loose holding the igniter. When I finally unscrewed what i thought was the back of the igniter, it looks like it detached from the actual stick part of it???
I'm inexperienced with a multimeter (electricity current tester) and I barely know how to use a screwdriver
On top of that i'm not sure i even got the right igniter, doesn't really look like the old one...
Are there any tips or guidance, I would really appreciate it as I do not want to spend a fortune to have a tech come out.
btw date code on the stove is July of '01. This stove is setup in a game room that is not used more than 10 times a year and I don't run the pellet stove all that much because of igniter issues.
