Excited for this weekend - Planned bonfire!

Can't wait for this weekend. I've got a good mate coming over to help me burn a big pile of "uglies" and a decent pile of branches...Usually involves getting the branches all burnt off first followed by sitting back throwing big logs and uglies on the fire with a steady flow of cold beers and over embellished stories well into the night

Weather for this Saturday is all clear so it will be a crisp one!

It's not exactly summer in Melbourne Australia...more like our December down there right now.

Yes, as stated above we have just started winter down here.....I think outside fires are good any time of year though!!

There is never a bad time for a bonfire...well maybe rain or high wind but other than that....ENJOY

As promised, here are some action shots of Saturdays fire. My mate arrived just after lunch and after a quick catch up over a beer or 3 we set about starting the fire...

As the fire grew, i got the task of throwing on all these branches and trimmings underway....You can also see the pile of uglies we were to burn in the second pic...

The sun set, and with the beers flowing I was making my way through the pile of branches nicely..

Now the pile of off cuts was all burnt it was time to sit back and enjoy....I had the car stereo on, the esky was full of beer on ice, and we had a good catch telling stories all night....(And in the words of another "infamous" ozzie, we didn't let the truth get in the way of a good story!)
