Greetings Campers,

Up here in BC we are settling into an early winter with temps down to 7 F (-14C). The wood pile just got its finishing touches with the last of 9 cords brought in Saturday - an not a moment too soon with the temps we have had. It is good to have old man winter back again eh?

Anyway, enough musing, I have an older style F600 (photo attached) with the detachable hex key that works on the side and front doors. The newer model F600 has a built-in side door latch and I am wondering if anyone knows if the older model can be retrofitted with the new side door latch?

Thanks folks.

To clarify, that's a Jotul F600 - although I guess anyone who can answer my question would know that, wouldn't they...

Hello, the official answer is no you can't. The model you have is the F600 V-2. The new model is the V-3 (version). It comes down to the stoves were listed and tested to be used in that configuration. This is jotul's official answer as well.

Lots of luck, both versions of the firelight are superb heaters.
