I have a couple of questions about some issues I'm having with my Jotul F600 that I would like to address this spring/summer. One issue is that the back center of the stove has an air leak on the rear center plate of the stove where it meets the bottom of the stove. I dont think this area is supposed to be an air inlet but want to verify. I think I should be able to fix this by just removing the plate and putting some stove cement at all of the seams; would this be the best way to fix this?

The second issue I'm having is the rear plate on the right side of the center plate rattles in place sometimes - I can fix this temporarily by shifting the plate slightly. Is this a common problem and what is the best way to fix this?

I've included a photo that highlights the two issues I'm talking about. The stove has only been through 1.5 heating seasons but I try and burn 24/7 in the winter.

Air should not be coming in at that location. I would call this a warranty defect and contact the dealer.

If you decide to fix it yourself, pack the area with stove cement. You could also put some underneath the right plate to bed it and stop the rattle.
