Question
What is the feeder door ?

Make sure that there aren't any little slivers of pellets keeping your hopper cover from completely shutting. Slamming that lid shut may compress the gasket enough to allow the sensor to believe it is closed completely. Then, the gasket may slowly lift where a bit of pellet is, and allow a small air leak causing the sensor to shut down the auger.
