Gotta keep it short, she's beckoning me back outside to make some more chips!

This thing just SLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDES on through the logs, and I just let the weight of the saw and the pulling action do all the work!

Considering I NEVER started or ran a saw before I am pretty proud!

This sweet machine started after only a few pulls after being shipped DRY, then every warm start was one pull, and that is using 40:1 with the crap 91 octain stuff.

Congrats! A good pro saw is extra dangerous because it's soooo easy to become addicted. We'll notify the neighbors that no tree is safe within a 500 yard radius.

FYI, rou can run 50:1 with good 2-cycle oil. If you ran it "out of the box," I'd consider taking it to a good Stihl shop to get it tuned properly or tune it yourself.

Looks good Don and nice saw that can handle most anything! Nothing wrong with 91 octane fuel in a chainsaw BTW it is what Stihl recommends using..

good equipment will all ways help to make a job much easier . just remember wear the safety gear and take plenty of breaks and if filling drowsy -tired or any thing stop completly ... your time is your own and you will all ways find more of it ... cheers have fun .

I know I had a lot of hackberry, but other that that I think maybe some maple, and something that smelled like a Pig farm on the inside!!

I am just a little sore today!

Most around here mis-identify hackberry as elm. Even had one arborist tell me my big hackberry is an elm.

Dunno what could smell like a pig farm, but some swamp oaks smell like piss.

Keep it maintained, and chain sharp, and it will last long time.

You are right.....around here, we do not differentiate much between a pin and a northern red, but what I have been cutting is pin and it smells like poo.
