Trying to fiqure out if a new stove: Quadrafire classic bay 1200 will fit in my existing space and still meet code.
i live in Maryland and there is a $ 700 rebate on new stoves but you have to permit and pass inspection to get it.
My current stove on a stone platform with a stone wall behind it.
1. The vent pipe says it needs to be 1" away from combustibles. Is the stone wall a combustible? because my pipe is closer than an inch to it right now.
2. Need to have 6" of platform /pad beyond glass door of stove. My existing platform extends less than 6" beyond the glass of new, bigger stove. Can I lay some stone ( like slate I have laying around on the carpet in front of the existing platform and stove, or does it need to be permanently attached?
