I have an older Resolute stove, given to me a few years ago. I decided to cut some firebricks and place them on the inside floor of the stove instead of having a bed of ashes in there. Although I've been running it like this for 5 years now, is it ok to run it like this? Will it burn properly with the damper closed? The firebrick does not cover the air holes in the back of the inside of the stove at all.
I may have already asked this before, sorry if I did.
