I was grinning ear to ear last night as I lit my first fire in the keystone. I finished all my stovepipe and heat shield assembly, then made a fire out of kindling which got the stove surface up to 175º. I'm very happy with my self-install which took a ton of work. This weekend we poured a 3.5" thick, 3-sided, concrete retaining wall to surround my chimney on the exterior wall of my basement. Most importantly, I'm getting great draft! I'll have to post pictures when the concrete is fully cured and the form is removed. Bring on the cold weather!
