Thank goodness. No talk of that in ct yet

Sure doesn't feel frosty in southern Maine yet...

Been so hot and humid that when it only got up to 76 today and the humidity went away it felt chilly in shorts. <>

You can definetly start feeling the chill in the air tonight

95F+ all last week then saturday and sunday highs in the 70's. Sat out last night with a nice fire going in the pit till 1am.

Winters Coming!

Yeah it got so chilly that I almost fired up my.... Fire pit:p
But instead I shut the ac off and opened windows.

Weve had frost lately but it was the first for us. Snow in the forecast this week for a couple of days and then warming up a bit. I get to fire up the stove!

Dropping down into the upper 50s for highs after wednesday this week, like clockwork everytime 2nd week of Sept. The majority of my wood cutting is coming up the next 2 months. Got about 14 cords aging, some dry some not but i should be good for this winter and next at least. October is my favorite month but im not fond of what comes after that even with a stove to play with. Summer went by wayyyy to fast.

42 this morning. "Testing" the propane heat to make sure it'll work when I really need it. 52 was a lil chilly inside. Seems to be working fine.;)

I was wearing a wooly hat and gloves in NH two weeks ago! Admittedly, we were at nearly 6000ft, with gusts easily above 60mph, but it was still hard to believe it was August. I love to visit the state, but no way I'd want to live there in Winter.

It's getting so chilly overnight here that this morning I put the top up on the convertible to drive to my 8:00 AM Doctor's appointment. <> Had the top back down again by 10:30 though.

My better half is off to Calgary for business- they may get light snow. I hope my peppers and tomatoes survive until they all ripen
They got snow in southwestern Alberta, I think Calgary had some fleuries. I guess all that natural gas and oil doesn't burn the snow before it hits the ground ;)

That's only 11 degrees above the dreaded 32. Think I've still got another month before the shorts get traded out for the jeans though.

So Calgary got 5 Cm. And now all of western ALberta has a snowfall warning. AKA 15+cm.

Funny thing: I lived in the Canadian Rockies for 2 years. I loves several aspects of it. However, mittens and toques in September were not part of my love.

We are in the BC Rockies 3 hours south west of Calgary and had about 2-3 inches last night. It was neat to see the kids making snow men! It melted today as it got up to 7c but we are expecting 5-10 cms again tonight. Yup the stove is on! Snow is unusual but not unheard of in September. I remember a year where in September we had 40 cms in one day. All the trees had full foliage on them and couldn't handle all that weight, lots of trees down. September is a really pretty time of year out here.

I suspect that after the 90 and rainy Thursday coming that we are going to start the downhill slide here. Chimney cleaning time.

In Ct looks like it's going to be in the 70'S for at least the next week. I can't even think about snow.

The cold and snow will all come in good time . . . I never get too worked up about it . . . although I do need to do a few more projects around the house involving tightening things up a bit with the insulation.

It's going to cool down here too. Had a temporarily insane moment and wondered if I should start a fire tonight. it would probably be better to put some socks on and change from shorts into long pants. Summer ending is going to be tough. :)

I think I've seen Murphy looking forlornly at the PE. He's already sleeping under the covers, started 1 week ago when night time temps went down to the 50's ( F ).

I just got my first 2 tomatoes ... it better hold off for a bit
