Yeah, there are some trees out there with those really dense thorns, but a lot of them are more sparse. I don't know why this is. Either way it is free and plentiful.

Wow that's a COOL Truck bet it will haul a load, and that's a nice load of Wood hard for me to tell from pictures, are all the wood on the Truck from the same Tree, because to me it looks like thorned Honey Locust, Cherry, and Red Oak

I think you have honey locust there, nothing wrong with HL.

Mostly locust, there is some oak from a tree that I pulled over as I skidded a couple of the locust trees out of the woods.
I thought it was black locust I was cutting, I guess I was wrong.

Free is my Favorite Kind of Firewood;lol

You have some nice something there. Oak, Locust its all good.

Wonder if you could cut down a tree faster with a chainsaw or a Ma-deuce?

Yes Honeylocust, Oak, even looks like a piece ot two of Cherry but it is a GREAT SCORE! And what a woodhauler!!! :)

That load was put on there by a skid steer with a grapple attachment.
I loaded the locust by hand.

Yes, first picture with the orange wood on sides is honey locust, with the thorns, it takes a really long time to dry out, the second picture looks like you have 1 big round of black locust on the top left, great score, lots of work ahead of you, that honey locust is tough to split if its not completely straight, if the grains turn, you might want to use a splitter...

Thanks for the ID.
The rounds that I split to throw them onto the truck split pretty easily, hopefully the rest will be easy too.

That rig is nuts, I would cause some trouble in the neighborhood with it for sure!

Poof.

Little explanation. Two posts made in the thread that have no business here.
