Question:

Hello, A fisher fire place insert was given to me. It was hardly used. However, the back-plate and the blower were missing. How could I purchase these items? Will I need to get a welder to make the plate for me?

Answer:

Yes, you will need to have the plate fabricated by either a welder or a sheet metal shop. Then again, with a direct connection to the flue, you could eliminate the surround altogether.

The unit works well even without a blower. You can either rig something up or leave it as is.
