I have a grandma bear stove. The smoke baffle has burned through and I want to remove it to replace it. Is there an easy way to remove the old one? I would like to replace it with the fire brick shelf so it would be easy to repair and maintain.

A 5/16 thick Smoke Shelf Baffle in a Series III burned through???

Did it look like this one?

Mine slides right out, but it's not warped or damaged in any way.
I've seen them warp and beat flat, but never burned through.
