Hi there all, hope this is not a stupid question as I am new to installing wood stoves.

My new (to me) Scandia #150 wood stove clearly states on the back that it recommends a 6" chimney. However, when I bought 6" stove pipe it was too large for the flue collar. The pipe is supposed to sit inside the collar (according to the manual) but it doesn't look like it could even form a tight fit around the outside of it.

What gives?

i don't remember the model of the stove i used to have but it was a small box stove by scandia. it had a five inch outlet so it needs a five to six inch adapter. thats what i used and it was fine
