Never had any issues, everything is clear, nothing blocked, no noises or otherwise, blower is externally mounted, just randomly stopped working, it's 18 y/o. I went out and gave the box a few "love taps", it kicked back on, but I'm worried it might shut off again, should I just replace it or how else to troubleshoot, please advise?

If the motor has never been replaced or lubricated, it could be that dry bearings are making hard to start. In that case bearing lube (if sleeve) or replacement (if sealed ball bearing) is in order. Another case could be a failing wire connection, though that is less likely after 18 yrs, it's a remote possibility.

It's not about the starting part, just cruising along for hours and then just a random stop, does that help?

Could be the thermostatic snap switch if it controls the motor. Something is opening the circuit as the motor or snap switch are heated up.
