Hm. Now fracking will be for green technology?
 
Old news though, it's been talked about for quite a while now.

All of our areas have already been "staked up" for lithium mineral rights. Lots of big plans by small prospective companies, but to my knowledge nothing of a commercial scale has come online yet.
 
Plenty of lithium out there, it comes down to how cheap can it be refined and how to deal with the hazardous waste that is produced from the processing.
