Question:
I recently purchased a house and tucked away in the garage was a wood stove (not hooked up). The stove is in fine condition, but we do not want it. It is about 30 inches tall and 20 inches in diameter. It says FRANKLIN CAST PRODUCTS INC (C) 1980, but no other markings are visible. Is this a real Franklin Stove? It is not what I think of when I hear Franklin Stove. Can anyone give me an idea what it is worth? $5? $500?
Answer:
Franklin Cast Products imported stoves from taiwan in the early 80's and were driven out of business by lawsuits from manufacturers whose products they were copying.
Worth closer to 5 than $500.00 - someone might give you $50-75 for it if it's in good condition.
