Hey All,

I just purchased 20 bags of Freedom Pellets at HD for about 5.50 a bag. I went there to buy something else and saw the pellets and had some dollars burning a hole in my pocket and said.. Why NOT?.... Anyone has experience with the pellets? BTW the wife is getting pissy about all the pellets purchases. ha ha ha.

I bought a couple bags last winter and burned them. 5/10

IMO, I wouldn't have bought 20 bags w/o burning a couple bags first. 2 -3 bags should normally be plenty to get an idea what their going to be like.

As for the wif, she'll get over it when it's 15 degrees out & she can sit by a nice warm fire. LOL

GO YANKEES!!!!!

Yea thats a good idea. Next time Ill just get a few, thats if the wife doesnt go bezzerk on me. Yanks all the way Macman. 4:15 today.

I burned two tons of them last year, burned ok, of course I have a biomass burner that will burn anything just about, I did have problems with one ton being crumbly (not puffed) which caused a few auger jams.

I burned few bags last year and they seemed to burn well. Codebum, burned few also and he had good luck with these.

I burned 2 tons last year of these. They had very little fines to them, burned ok, but they made twice as much ash then what i burn now Hammers. Can't really say much for the buildup in the pot because i scrape in the morning and night, just what i do. So if you want to do a bit more cleaning then the norm get them. They are softwood too if i remember. I would rate them as an average pellet, not bad, but not great. Would burn again if i had too.

Got 2 last bags at HD today, the bags were beat and taped up at spots, was on a winter warmth quest but got boned, got 2 bags freedom,1 bag natures heat and 1 bag fireside ultra's.
Worker there said there hot burning, well i'm waiting for my hopper to clean out before i add them, weird thing is there the smallest size pellets i ever saw, prob 1/4 smaller than any other pellet i ever burned in 11 years

3/16" vs 1/4". I have no idea why, though.
