Question:

I have a fireplace with a coal insert and would like to convert to natural gas with an appliance that looks like coal. Any such thing available? I would like to retain the insert if possible.

Answer:

Nothing that can retro fit an existing insert. You can install "coal look" logs made be Peterson...or coal effect gas inserts made by a company called Valor.
